Many people have been forced to 'shelter-in-place' since Covid-19 out-break. Many more are seeking remote work and trying to adapt their job roles to fit in. Some people found their new places, while many others are still struggling.

But there is no doubt that WORK FROM HOME has become a global trend for nearly all industries.

From the Fortune Magazine, 85% of companies on the “100 Best Companies to Work For 2019” list allow their employees to work at home. Reported by FlexJobs and Global Workplace Analytics, remote work has increased 159% over the last 12 years in the US. According to the Muse, an international job platform, 77% of millennials think would be more productive if the workplace and working-hour could be more flexible.

Yet, how to work-life balance when work at home? How to establish a high efficiency working style? How to master your remote work?

This week, GOEC invites MR. Chance Jiang, the CEO/Solution Consultant of Chatek LLC, to share his years of experience on all-remote work.

Chance loves designing and building apps and systems for the Internet-of-Things world. His life-long passion is to improve human living environment through technology. He leads an 'all-remote' company, Chatek LLC, on sales, product management and customer/user care.

Since 2010, he has been designing IoT product around social networks (WeChat, in particular) and digital retail services. In 2012, he led a team to design and build Welomo, the first IoT product leveraging WeChat API. Its design has been widely borrowed by peer companies. From 2009 to 2012, his team built the first receipt printer with web API, pioneering a cloud-native API design for IoT products in worldwide.

Chance is active in China's startup communities as well. Between 2004 and 2007, he took part in the founding of IEEE-SMC Guangzhou branch, which connects local communities to international peers in computer science and engineering. In 2012, he co-founded Startup Grind Guangzhou, the first branch of Startup Grind in China.

During the event, Chance will share his experience on how to manage an all-remote team in order to deliver best value to their users and clients. The sharing would be mainly about the methods and practical application.

Even you are at beginner-level of remote-work, you could still benefit from Chance’s tips and start immediately!

Come and join us on this Saturday night!
